I went on a great hike to the peak of El Toro in Puerto Rico yesterday:
We’re here with my team from work from an offsite — it’s amazing how well you get to know your coworkers by taking a few days off from the day-to-day to spend some time doing something different. There are so many people who I know by sight but never had the opportunity to talk to, and times like this really enable creating new bonds with others.
Hiking in particular is awesome. This particular trail that we did was 2.2 miles in each direction, consisting of an arduous climb through very dense forest, mud to the knees, and buckets of rain falling from the sky. At the end we were treated to a wonderful vista of Puerto Rico, and we could see the north, east, and south coasts at the same time.
